A store always known for its discount on footwear with rails outside the store to promote the genuine bargains. In my student days, the student loan were foolishly spent on D2 discounted converse and vans, foot wear’s answer to being alternative. This store which is middling in size certainly packs a punch. With a great selection of footwear for both males and females it also offers fashion trendy bags and clothes for willing customers. Sometimes the clothes can be a little dated or too much of a mix between street wear and sports wear but the odd time an item will surprise you. D2 is also great for belts, I’ve purchased some great vintage style belts here with years of wear in them and the frequent questioning of where I purchased such an item. Student discount is also a major pull to this outlet.

I agree with the other reviewers in saying that this place is awful and stocks terribly drab clothes. D2 sells menswear that they deem to be trendy, but are really just garish and trashy looking. You could imagine seeing a guy at a really crappy nightclub wearing this kind of garb, but I think most males I know would have a bit more taste than this. Don’t waste your time and money here guys.

There’s something unmistakably cheap, naff and garish about this place. Like so many other fashion chains the emphasis is on looking identical to one societal group or another. With Gap is the middle class accountant who just wants to meld into the distance, with d2 it’s the 18 – 30’s package holiday, Friday evening staggering out of a club in Shaftesbury Square crowd. A tacky mixture of random striped or checked shirts, denim jackets and dull looking jeans and accompaniments. There is also a range of footwear — some of which is bearable and half normal looking whereas most are bright and white. Not really my cup of tea or where’d I’d ever buy anything worth wearing.

Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear. I wish I could leave this review at that but unfortunately I need to spend even more of my time on this completely terrible shop. The clothes in here are completely terrible, they are ‘fashionable’ but their definition of fashion is that everyone is wearing it or willing to wear it. If you like your jeans with ridiculous tears and rips in them and with no real quality then this is the place for you. If you like your t-shirts with stupid, pointless and meaningless logos on them then this is the place for you. I guess the prices are low but thats just because the stuff is of such bad quality you’ll have to go back and buy new stuff in a couple of months. If you ask me, you should stump up the money and go to the Levi’s store or somewhere decent to buy clothes. But thats just me.
