The latte coffee is pretty darn good and my bacon roll had a lot of bacon stuffed in and at my request it was well splurged with HP sauce. As I waited and the friendly staff worked away I read the blackboard of offerings and all such were reasonably priced too. Then I looked around and it was well packed with early morning 10am diners. The walls are adorned with myriad photos including Oscar Wilde who had a sharp tongue to match a keen observation, my favourite of his ‘fathers should never be seen nor heard.’ Then I was snapped out of my day dream by the question ‘are you eating in or taking out’ so it was a sunny Friday morning so I opted for the single table outside the front door. Latte and the bacon roll(£4.60) This place is down a side street and a part of Conway mill it’s close to a government job market and quite near a ‘peace line’ which in reality is a very large wall separating the two communities that inhabit the area. The wall is hard to miss. Not so sure it’s so peaceful though. Once I scoffed my bacon roll I could not find a bin so I brought my rubbish back in to the café to bin and off I went.

Nice staff and not a bad atmosphere at all. The menu is fairly extensive and typical of the doorsteps chain. All good so far. The only problem is I’ve been in 3 or 4 times recently and on each occasion have had to change my order or accept an amended version of it because they were missing one or more of the key ingredients. The quality of the ingredients that go into the sandwiches seems very good but… When it gets busier and staff are under pressure the sandwiches get a bit ‘thrown together’. All in all it’s still a good place for lunch if you’re close by.
