I’m a regular at la cuisine and to be quite honest, the food and service are excellent. I’ve tried most things on the menu including the soup which is extremely tasty and filling! I’ve also tried the fillet steak with peppercorn sauce — delicious! The desserts are to die for and big portion sizes. Loved it as a lunchtime venue but prefer night time now due to atmosphere and the fact you can byo! It’s possibly 1 of the best eating places in Belfast. Like Lauraloo can’t wait until my next visit!

I visited La Cuisine on Wednesday evening(they now open 3 evenings a week) and it was the best meal I’ve ever eaten, no exaggeration! I went with three friends and we all had the chicken and vegetable soup with wheaten bread for starters — it was extremely tasty and filling. Then we all had fillet steak, each of us choosing to have our steaks cooked differently. The steak came accompanied by onion rings, a dinky wee tin pail of chips, cabbage and sauce. Each steak was cook to perfection, succulent and with not a pick of fat. The sauce was delicious and the sides were yummy. For dessert we all tried something different — the portions were huge and absolutely perfect! The only minor complaint I have is the size of the soft drinks — £1.70 for a standard drink which was in fact very small. The atmosphere was lively but not overbearing with a mix of families, couples and male and female groups. Overall though, I can’t wait to go back to La Cuisine!

I love this place. It’s one of two branches of La Cuisine(the other one being in Glengormley) and the standard of food you get is really high. Personally, I’m a fan of the vol-au-vents and the chicken pies… properly delicious… All the ingredients are fresh as well, which is great. Because it’s so good, it tends to get very busy, but don’t let that put you off. Just prepare to queue and trust me that it’ll be worth it!

La Cuisine is amongst one of the restaurants on the Antrim Road which the locals love to go to again and again. I can see why the do. It has a silly sign, which makes it just look flipping tacky if I’m honest and the décor is a bit on the average side too. But none of this matter once you try the food. I’ve only been during lunch time hours(it’s always packed at this stage of the day so prepare to queue!) and I’ve never had a bad meal! Their burgers, which most places just burn to a cinder, are just fantastic, I’ve not had a juicier one in the this part of town. The food is also very reasonable in terms for cost for the quality which is always an advantage. The staff have been working there for years and appear to enjoy their jobs just as much as the people enjoy the food.

La Cuisine is a local restaurant that has been at the top of the list for many Antrim Road residents for years. It’s a lovely place to have lunch with friends, but I have found it to be a particular favourite with my grandma. The food is well priced and expertly cooked and there is always something for everyone. I have been going to this place for many years now, and I have never got bored of its menu. The chef always ensures there is a substantial and varied list of specials every day, so it is never a case of having to order the same thing over and over again like some other places similar to La Cuisine. One concern I have with here though is that you often have to queue to get a seat, but it is certainly worth the wait! My favourite lunchtime snack from La Cuisine has to be the chicken goujons which are made to perfection. If you are ever passing I would certainly advise stopping in.

Probably the most popular haunt for lunch-goers on the Antrim Road, La Cuisine has been feeding the great and good of North Belfast for many years now. With a wide range of food available from their eat-in menu, as well as from their take-away Deli, this bistro is always full to the brim; with queues coming out of the doors at peak lunch hours. They certainly have the right concept, good honest food, hearty and warming, comforting soups and homemade wheaten bread, or huge wedges of lasagne and fresh salad of a good helping of chips if you’re feeling sinful! You will often see a couple enjoying a quick pot of tea or coffee with some sweet tray-bakes or whole families around the big table just inside the door, tucking into big feeds in celebration of a birthday or some other event. The wait staff are excellent; they remember regulars, never miss an order, and pay close attention to detail. It never matters that you have to wait up to half an hour for a seat here, or that you can never get a parking space outside — it’s always worth it.

Very good food, cooked well, with great service and reasonably priced. You can get a good bowl of stew for under £4 so won’t break the bank. Always a queue but seems to move fairly quickly though you might find yourself waiting outside as the waiting area is limited. However well worth checking this place out.

La Cuisine is one of the best brunch and lunch venues around, as evidenced by the huge queues outside every day — and outside of the city, too, without any sizable workforce to serve. Don’t let that put you off, though, the queue does tend to move quite quickly and it is worth it. La Cuisine serves simple food done very well: breakfasts, lasagnes, pies, stews, soups and sandwiches and paninis. Great sized portions, pleasant casual setting and efficient staff. Great value too.
