I stumbled across Manning Inn while on my way home from a drunken night out and thought it was the best ever. Went back sober 3 – 4 times and wasn’t disappointed; always ordered the same thing– chicken&cashew nuts. Today when I ordered the same I got home and what had I got? Sweet and sour chicken, which I hate, with some dried cold cashews dumped on top. Disgraceful. I have never witnessed a fast food joint to ever try and pass off their leftovers as what you ordered while you, the customer, was sober. I paid for a dish– I don’t expect another one. Will not be back.

Situated on the busy Lisburn Road, competition should be strife here. However, the manning in is the Chinese you go to when drunk! The food is nothing special, just your bog standard and although the portions are big as with many Chinese restaurants the food isn’t really gourmet! We stumbled in here one night after hours and will more than likely never be back unless our senses are out!

This Chinese is situated on South Belfast’s busy Lisburn Road. I went here on my way home from work when I just couldn’t be bothered cooking and fancied something easy. Out of all the places on the Lisburn Road I really should have picked somewhere else. The food was greasy, with a big thick layer of oil floating on top of every thing. I ordered the Kung Po chicken, not an edible example of the current state of the Mexican Golf.

Yet another mediocre chinese takeaway on the Lisburn Road and this one hardly sets itself apart. Situated almost directly above Tates Avenue means everyone will see it coming into Belfast, but in my experience very few will stop at it. The portions are very big so in that respect it is quite good, but the food is lifeless, the staff seem uninterested and having been there only once, chances are I’m not going back. Some chinese takaways really do blow you away with the standard of their food, sadly however Manning Inn just isn’t one of them
