Their caruso pizza is top notch, especially when part of one of their daily deals! Makes a great pre-cinema meal.

This is a contender for a Unilocal pizza off! 2 for 1 on a Tuesday and one of my favourite BYOB Haunts. The pizza is thin crust and tasty, I alway end up ordering the Bocelli, I love goats cheese. There are also a few sides to choose from, I recommend the mothers tongue bread, like a mini hot and fiery calzone, big enough to have this and a salad of you want something less heavy like a pizza. The place is small, maybe a max of 30 can be seated and the the seats are grouped in 4’s so if you come with a group larger than that, expect to be separated. Service is quick and the price even when it’s not 2 for 1 is still cheap!

One of the best pizza places in Belfast, have the most expensive pizza in the world on the menu way over 20k! Watched the chef roll and prepare from freah the pizza we were going to eat. Id would defo get the mothers tongue side order, its spicy but nothing that will put you off eating it. They are usually open on late on bank holidays which is great if you work nights. Price wise it is spot on!

We came here on a Saturday night prior to another engagement as it had been recommended to me by a friend, and I realized it was in the vicinity so thought we’d give it a go. Luckily for us, as there was only the two of us, we got a table without any trouble even though the small restaurant was quite full. The restaurant is tastefully decorated and intimate with opera music in the background. The menu was a cut-size version of any generic menu in any generic pizza shop anywhere in the world with the exception of a £2500 pizza containing lobster, truffle and gold leaf — which is a bit of a gimmick really, clearly no one will ever order that! The pizzas were fine, I got La Scala, my partner got Pavarotti, which did the job but not better than frozen ones from your local supermarket. Those plus a side and 2 drinks came to just under £30 which was a bit on the expensive side for all it was. There are a lot of nice places in Belfast for a pizza nowadays and I don’t think this is a major competitor for any of them, so I wouldn’t be in a rush to go back unless they had an offer to deals to take advantage of.

Opera pizza is amazing — best pizza I have ever tasted. I love extremely spicy food and they always make me a delicious vegetarian, HOT pizza. It’s one one the best places to eat in Belfast with a casual atmosphere and BYOB policy.

After hearing all those great reviews about Opera Pizza I finally got to try it myself. I had no idea it was BOGOF on Tuesdays so it was a great surprise. I went for the El Prawn Classico while my friend chose Bocelli. Both of them were delicious, and the base is the closest in taste to the ones I had in Italy! Thin and crispy, exactly how I like it. The toppings went really well together, something you don’t come across in most of the pizzerias. I was really satisfied overall with the pizza. All the reviews here say how friendly staff are, however that is something I did not experience yesterday. The waitress literally threw our bill at us… Another reason I won’t give 5 stars is that we sat at the back and it was not very appetizing to feel the smell of the dishwasher.

Opera always hits the high notes, it’s takeaways are so good that you’ll be singing from the rooftops when you pick up or get your delivery. This review is simply for an amazing takeaway we purchased last night. I’m going to take you through the process; Step 1: Grab a menu or look at Opera’s easy to navigate website. Step 2: Pick a meal deal — we went for the meal for two — it was £11.95 for a 12 inch pizza with 3 toppings of choice, 2 sides(we went for mother in law tongue bread, which was sensational and garlic potato cubes) and 2 cans of your choice. Step 3: Order over the phone and opt for delivery or collection. We went for collection and were told it would be ready in 15 minutes — I thought that was a little ambitious so waited didn’t leave to pick it up for 20 minutes but I was the one with egg on my face because it was ready in 15 minutes and was starting to cool when I got it. I’ll learn from this. Step 4: Eat and enjoy one of Belfast’s best pizza’s!

I love pizza(who doesn’t) and couldn’t resist stopping at the ‘World Famous’ and ‘best pizza in Belfast’. So I’m not sure if it was that I had walked in the pouring rain to get there, or that I was already in a bad mood before it rained, but the hype didn’t quite deliver for me. I agree with all the others that the service so very friendly. And it’s such a great atmosphere with it’s small size and candles on every table. It was perfect for my romantic dinner for one ;) I ordered the pizza with goat cheese, caramalised onions and tomatoes. It was a good combination of toppings, but I just wasn’t as impressed with it for the price. And I think that’s where I was a bit let down by the hype. I would have probably enjoyed it much better for 5 quid less. What was more of a specialty pizza just seemed to lack something for me. I’m hoping if I’m back in Belfast and looking for pizza that I’ll get to try one of their different pizzas. The other tables did actually look quite good.

Opera is a great pizzeria with really tasty pizza, pasta, starters and so on. There are often deals on certain days so it’s worth keeping an eye on their Facebook to hear about the latest offers. The ‘Mother in Law’s Tongue Bread’ is great, and I just love the pizzas. It’s also BYO which saves your pennies, and with a Tesco across the street you can always pick up a bottle of wine there first if you haven’t brought one with you. Definitely recommend, you’ll become a regular once you try it!

What can I say about Opera that hasn’t already been said. I’ve been a regular here since my friend introduced me to it a few years ago. Its an amazing bijou bring your own pizza place. The staff are super friendly and the food is amazing. And its bring your own. One time I was talking to my friend and stealing green peppers off her pizza, cause I am rude that way and love green peppers! The waitress saw/overheard me and brought me a wee bowl of green peppers! Another time I was humming and ha-ing about two different options on the menu and they did me a half and half! The action menu options aren’t overwhelming for choice, but if you ask they will do you a pizza the way you want it. To be honest I think it is one of the best pizza’s in Belfast so I’m going to keep going back. If you ever fancy a treat order the ‘Mother-in-laws tongue bread’ for starter. It’s amazing!

I have walked passed Opera on numerous occasions over the past year but never ventured inside to try it out. However that changed last night after a Unilocal event was hosted there. There was a good turn out and while the venue was reasonably small it was able to fit about 30 people comfortably. The staff were awesome and the pizza was tasty. Browsing through the menu, Opera seems to have good deals on and I will definitely go back!

I can’t review the food as I made it myself but what I can review is the service. For such a small place, it has such a big personality and that goes for the chef and staff. The interior is quaint and charming and the ambiance is comfortable, very important for a great restaurant. I would definitely recommend. Food-on Joe

Without a doubt not only the best pizza in Belfast but the best pizza I’ve ever had. One of my favourite spots and it’s BYOB. Absolutely love the Maria Callas pizza and the Bocelli pizza. Small little restaurant which is candlelit at night — charming, casual and relaxed. Does sit in and take away/delivery food. The starters and salads are also delicious and the staff are lovely. I eat here at least once a month and can’t recommend it enough…

Opera is one of my all time favourite restaurants in Belfast. Despite the bright pink exterior, it still remains one of Belfasts hidden gems. The restaurant itself is more like a glorified café, with candles and dim lighting to dress it up, however, the staff help to create a comfortable setting where you feel right at home. Being ultra friendly, the staff never ushered us out or presented the bill as a hint, even when we realised they were closing up around us! There are various pre selected pizzas on the menu, but with the list of additional toppings being that bit better and more original than your run-of-the-mill pizza shop, I would highly recommend creating your own pizza. The garlic sausage topping went down a treat with a large number of my colleagues. That leads me on nicely to my only real gripe, which cannot be helped and more than likely adds to its cutesy environment — the size. The restaurant is cosy to say the least, which has been more than adequate when on dinner dates with friends, however I have also been twice for work and on one occasion we were put at a long table(nearly the full length of the restaurant) and one side of the table were totally trapped between the table and wall. With 8 people on each side this did pose a problem with all the toilet trips. Once again, I have lead on nicely to my next point… Bring your own! Always an attraction, and with a Tesco Express just across the road what are you waiting for? Love love love this place. The food is to die for and at less than £10 a head it seems too good to be true. I almost don’t want to review it, just keep it as a little secret for myself.

This place boasts of the best pizza in Belfast and so far I must agree. Admittedly I am always skeptical of UK pizza but this is very legit. The crust was perfect, the sauce was delicious and all of the veggies on my pizza seemed very fresh. The space itself is very cozy and intimate. This ambiance is enhanced by the candles at every table. I imagine this place fills up quickly so I would advise making a reservation. It’s also BYOB so arrive prepared.
