I’ve been eating planet spice for years, their dishes are the best in Ballyhackamore/all of the east, and the staff are extremely friendly. If you’re normally a chicken tikka masala kind of person, you won’t be disappointed! Other tasty dishes include the pyazki chilli chicken and butter chicken. Don’t forget to order onion bhajis!

I hope I don’t offend any chefs who produce fine Indian food, but I generally only have a craving for curry when I have a hangover, and specifically a mid range hangover. Not a mild hangover, and not a can’t-even-get-out-of-bed hangover, a mid range one. On such days, only a chicken korma (what? I didn’t say a hot curry) and a big pillowy naan bread can help.
Planet Spice is take away only and joy of joys, do deliveries so it’s my go-to place for Indian food. Actually, it’s my order-from place.
Delivery can take up to 45 minutes to an hour so it’s important to time your order right but once you get it you won’t be disappointed. The korma is perfect — creamy but not gloopy and with plenty of big chunks of chicken. The naan bread is to die for — big and fluffy and soooo good. Throw in a couple of onion bhajees which have just the right amount of spicy greasiness and I’m in hangover heaven.
