The Engine Room Gallery

The Engine Room Gallery is fantastic. It shows a vast range of contemporary art and has fabulous, varied exhibitions. I literally only recently discovered this place existed in Clarence Street, just off Linenhall Street in Belfast BT2 8DY. Although the gallery is located in an ultra cool building and space — glass, shiny tile floors, iron staircases and white walls — it also maintains a warmth and easygoing vibe which I think many art galleries often lack. Welcoming, friendly staff who allow you to browse at leisure and happily provide information and leaflets on current and future shows. This place is great — can’t wait for the next exhibition opening — so I can see more compelling art and mosey around this captivating gallery, glass of wine in hand whilst soaking up the vibe. Love it!
