First time eating anything other than chicken wings here(which are amazing) staff are friendly and efficient. Food is tasty and there is a nice atmosphere to the place. I had a club sandwich which was served with skinny fries & a nice little bit of salad, really enjoyed it all. My husband had the steak sandwich with chunky chips which got a thumbs up from him. Will definitely be back I’m back! Having food before my birthday party which is happening upstairs, tonight I went for scampi & chips… yum! Menu is limited but what they do, they do well. Table had a mix of chunky chips, skinny fries & sweet potato fries all of which are delicious

Sports bar with screens for boxing/rubgy/football. Huge outdoor beer garden/smoking area with separate bar and toilets. The indoor bar is tiny but has good selection of beers and ales. It’s a mixed crowd from 20+ but anyone much older would never feel out of place as its a good casual feel and was traditionally an older folks pub before it became cool.

Oh dear Hudson, how do I love thee, let me count the ways… Always the chance of a great night out at this place. It has everything you need in a bar. 1) Place to sit outside(especially for those bloody smokers) complete with heat lamps. 2) Private function room for the times when you and your friends need space. 3) Craft beers a-plenty!(The hipster way to get drunk) 4) A whiskey and cocktail bar, I like to think that picking a fine whiskey and a well mixed cocktail are the height of sophisticated refreshment and the upstairs room caters for this well. 5) Food. The Hudson have a great menu. I’ve had their wings and their stew, both very good. Luckily there is also a little burger shop you can get to once the bar menu needs. Music is usually good too, sometimes you can expect to see a band play live. One of my favourite spots in Belfast!

Recently I’ve heard a lot about The Hudson’s famous Chicken Wings so I thought I better check them out. Firstly I thought that on a Friday afternoon that the place would be rammed and I’d have to wait an age to get ripped in to those tiny, tender poultry pieces but I was wrong I walked in ordered at the bar and less than 15 minutes later I was presented with a wooden bowl of 33 glazed buffalo wings — all for £8.95! The price was good and the wings did live up to the hype but I wouldn’t say they were earth shattering. There was just the right amount of glaze but the wings themselves lacked meat. Yesterday’s visit to The Hudson reaffirmed how good the bar is in my eyes — it’s such a jack of all trades — serves a whole host of different beers — I had the Sam Adams, something that you don’t see too often in Belfast. It really is the perfect place to garb some wings and have a beer on a Friday afternoon.

Not a bad little bar — nice beer garden for when the sun is shining. Good selection of wines, beers, cocktails and drinks. Food is of the pub grub variety. Bohemian feel to the place — relaxed.
