Pizza Express Restaurants

Nice building and usual stuff from Pizza Express. Good service normally.

How easily are people satisfied? Its a pizza. Thats it. And its about half the size and twice the price of other pizzas. The weirdest thing was the manager who went to great lengths to tell us about his own restaurant opening soon! (Bad tactic. If you are leaving, go quietely) There is nothing wrong with Pizza express. There is just nothing exceptional about it. If you dont have an online half-​price voucher with you, dont go. You will feel absolutely cheated as everyone else is paying half price!

Going by what other reviewers have said, I must have visited on a bad day! Had booked a table for a birthday meal, arrived slightly late however table wasn’t ready when we arrived, in fact previous diners hadn’t left. After roughly waiting 40 mins, we were seated, had to wait for around 30 mins again before our order was taken, by the time food had arrived we were beyond the point of hungry but ate our meal anyway. Food was below average to the point that no one finished and mentioned to the manager that we felt a few of the pizzas were under cooked. We could have complained during the meal however we were fed up and just wanted to leave. They didn’t seem in the slightest bit bothered and no apology was made neither were we given a refund. Overall a disappointing night. Hopefully it was a one off, however it has put me off using this restaurant again.

Ate at Pizza express again this week and was not let down. It just doesn’t feel like a chain restaurant. Good prices and great food. Went there with the family and we were all looked after very well.

The Pizza Express chain offers a consistently good product and service and the Beverley Restaurant is no exception.
There are a few steps to get into the restaurant for anybody who has a mobility issue and there is a disabled toilet downstairs although if it is your first visit you may have to ask where it is.
More of an occassion place if you are taking the entire family as it isn’t the cheapest every day luncheon venue, expect to pay about ten pounds a head for a pizza, but you can use Tesco Reward clubcard Vouchers (online deals From 6 December every £5 in TESCO vouchers will give you £15 worth of Clubcard rewards tokens to spend at Pizza Express) and they sometimes do other offers on the back of car parking tickets or at online discount code/​voucher sites, which are worth checking out before you book or visit.
There are plenty of vegetarian options and the vanilla and coffee ice creams are to die for.
Chose the time you visit Pizza Express Beverley carefully, it is much more pleasant mid week at lunch time, less crowed, more relaxed and a lot less noisy.

When shopping in Beverley this is one of 3 restaurants we use for lunch and very good it is I personally always have the same meal-​sicilian pizza one of my favourite meals, this place is so clean the staff are very good and you can pay your tip on your debit card! only downside is it can get noisy children in across teatimes/​weekends, but on the whole if you pick your time to visit it will be worthwhile.

As with most Pizza Express restaurants it has the usual layout with open kitchen and ingredients on display.
Staff are always friendly and keen to make your dining experience a good one. The restaurant is very clean and always presented to a good standard.
Food is of the high Pizza Express standard that I have come to expect and is always quickly served and well presented.
Only let down is how busy it gets, I have found you have to book a table over a week in advance for the peak times on Friday and Saturday night. They do have some tables reserved for walk in diners although you can expect to wait up to an hour for a table. Well worth it just for the dough balls though. There are some nice bars near by which provide a good place to pass the time waiting for a table.

I’ve always rated Pizza Express as the best and most consistent national restaurant chain. Although prices have risen in recent years it still represents excellent value and is head and shoulders above any other pizza chain.
The Beverley restaurant is split over two floors with the trademark pizza oven on the ground floor and plenty of extra space upstairs (although it can get busy at peak times.) Service is pretty good and generally efficient and friendly. It is of course ideal for families and consequently can get a bit noisy at times.
