Maxwells

Maxwells is a great salon, with a ladies and mens salon over the road from eachother, and they also cater for children
Previously, there has been a problem with parking, but there is now a parking lot down the road.
Prices for a cut and finish range from £30 to £60, which may seem pricey, but on this occasion you definitely get what you pay for, if not more.
Upstairs there is a fantastic beauty salon with proffesional staff. I have only ever had an eyebrow wax done, but it was a very enjoyable experience, and i will continue to go there for any beauty treatments i require. There is also a LOT of offers released via their email newsletters every month, usually offering a free facial with a hair restyle, for example.
It is also the only salon i know that is open until 9pm at night, and on bank holidays. This is VERY convenient for the full time worker.
Downstairs is where the hair cutting takes place. There is a very large team of experienced staff, which means it is usually possible to get an appointment, no matter how late you leave it!
The attention to detail in this place is what makes it far better than the others. There is adequate space between each styling station, meaning you can relax in your own space without bumping elbows with the person next to you! A drink is always offered which is nice alongside being pampered.
There is two massage chairs in the washing area, meaning that more often than not, you can put your feel up and experience an all over body massage whilst your hair is being washed.
One thing that i always notice in salons is the very annoying spotlights on the ceiling, usually meaning you can’t see a thing when you sit back upright again. In Maxwells there are some cleverly placed TV’s on the ceiling.
In the mens salon, there is a ps3 whilst you wait. So whether you’re male or female, you’re in for a treat really.
All of this is what makes Maxwells a fine cut above the rest. With a bursting team of diverse, knowledgable staff who are chatty and attentive, Maxwells can offer what other places cannot.
I would definitely recommend this salon to anybody i know, no matter how far away you live!
