Balti 2000

I enjoyed my order from Balti 2000. On a lazy night my stomach started to rumble, my Dad suggested we ordered from this take-​away.
The different chicken meals are enjoyable. Spending twelve pound: we had two meals, two lots of rice and poppadums. The poppodums tasted nice with a selection of dips and a hint of the free taste embedded in the starter, because when you spend over ten pound they give you free poppadums.
I enjoy this take away when I’m in my Dad’s area but I always think it struggles to compete in comparison to some of the take-​aways in my area.

Balti 2000 is a take-​away restaurant at the back of Grove Park in Harborne. Promising free deliveries if you place orders of 10 pounds or more (although it’s worth checking before you order) it offers pretty much what you’d expect in terms of curry — including of course the ubiquitous Balti. The food here is decent enough — I opted for the chicken Dhansak which was just the right combination of sweet, sour and spicy and Garlic Naan which came with pretty much full cloves of garlic — so whilst it was lovely I wouldn’t recommend having it before say, dental surgery or a hot date. Starters were a reasonable price and tasty enough and I was pleased that they threw in some free poppadums and dips for free. An ideal place to try if you live locally and don’t fancy travelling into the High Street.
