Birchfield Library functions more as a community centre and internet provider than as a library. It offers wonderful programs such as days when librarians read to young children and there is plenty of information available there on adult education. As a place to study, however, it is lacking. There is no area available with tables and chairs and the book selection is seriously lacking. The librarians are very helpful and kind but for traditional library services i.e. the lending of book Birchfield Library not the best place to visit.
