Unilocal app sent me to a completely wrong address. Then called the place to get a correction. Was told the address was correct. Upon putting the address into google maps, I was sent to a different address that still wasn’t right. The guy then asked me if I was making a prank call when I tried to clarify.

Caspian Pizza chain does really good pizzas. Always been a fan. Mostly go to the main one in Stratford Road or the one in moseley. When they opened in Kings Heath I was happy I don’t have to travell further for a good pizza. Also they do delivery which is awesome. The others I go to don’t. I do sometimes order for delivery when I feel lazu to go out. They do deliver quick and food is always hot Now it’s not always good, it’s more of a hit and miss. When they hit it’s really good. They are known for their pizzas all Caspians and that’s about it. They do burgers and chicken also but better off go to a place where they specialise in chicken.

When I saw that Caspian Pizza were opening in Kings Heath, I ran into the shell of the shop where the owners were discussing the fittings and hugged them. This was no over-reaction. I first became aware of the delights of Caspian Pizza when dining in their shop in Balsall Heath. Their pleasingly good value for money was a refreshing change from multi-national chains who charge for some ‘deals’ what I spend on food in a week. And their inventiveness is good. Although the owners are of Persian origin,(the clue is in the title), rather than infuse some of their homeland’s cuisine in their creations they opt for a slightly different tack. For example the California Chicken pizza. This circle of delight has succulent pieces of said bird in a creamy sauce, at just the right consistency. There are other original creations too that go beyond the predictable Meat Feast options of the big chains, like Bombay Suprise, influenced by the tastes of the local Asian community. The bases are good too, with the fried bread taste, and crispy edges of a good deep pan pizza.

I don’t live in Kings Heath but I’ve been to Kings Heath a few times and when I last went about 2 weeks ago; I indulged in a Caspian Pizza because that’s how I roll! Caspian Pizza, for those of you who haven’t tried their pizzas yet and trust me if you haven’t tried one then you’re missing out; have some of the best pizzas ever and that’s not even something I’d normally just say without thinking about it. Most pizza places just throw their pizzas together and don’t make the base right or their’s too much dough used– Caspian is the complete opposite. They make their pizzas with a lot of care and what I like about this one based in Kings Heath is that they are clean. With a lot of the big pizza places, most of the time they rip us off and over charge us just for a pizza. However, Caspian Pizza offer lovely pizzas for about half the price, Pizza Hut and all them large chains do and to be fair, I think Caspian’s tastes a lot better. I love my meat, so the one I go for is the meat feast pizza usually 16 inch because I share this with friends and we all love a good Caspian Pizza. If you are feeling more adventurous, try the Bombay mix and add some extra jalapenos or spice.

I actually prefer to eat Caspian pizza over all of the large chains in the area. The pizzas have cheese over the requested toppings which I also think is a nice touch. The pizzas come in three different sizes, regular, large and x-large, each respectively serving between 1 – 3 people. Sides are what you would expect from such an establishment with burgers and continental omelets as an extra addition to a usual pizza menu. Take out and delivery vary in prices with the former coming in a lot cheaper, so if you live by one of these establishments and want to save some money I would advise the former. The range of pizza that Caspian sells is quite impressive. If you like a plainer pizza then go for the pepperoni, if like me, you prefer something different then go for the Hot Bombay Surprise. Caspian make their own pizzas in a very clean environment, for me this is also a big plus. So if you are feeling hungry and fancy a big feast, give Caspian a call and they will look after you.
