I booked in here to have my hair cut ready for a work related meal that evening. It was really busy in there and I had to wait 20 minutes after my pre booked appointment time but the woman behind the counter didn’t seem overly apologetic. The service cut and dry was a lot quicker than normal; I thought that perhaps they were trying to catch up on the backlog of clients. I didn’t get a head massage whilst my hair was washed but as this was the first time I’d used this salon I was not sure if they normally offer it although I certainly missed it. I didn’t feel overly impressed during my experience but perhaps they might be better on a less busy day.

I visited Coustis on Kings Heath high street a number of years ago, and, I have to say, I felt like I paid quite a lot for a not particularly great haircut. Fortunately, when I went recently, it seems that things have improved considerably. The girl who cut my hair really listened to what I wanted and paid attention — which is always a plus. Too often I feel like hairdressers nod and smile and say«OK» and then get on with their own thing. But not here — I feel like she really got it. They’re also great with kids. My friend’s toddler sat still for TENWHOLE minutes while getting her hair cut — which is virtually unheard of — and had a lovely time! That was a real turn up for the books as frankly, it could have ended in tantrums and hair products all over the salon. She looked very cute with her new haircut too. So everyone was happy. For what more could you ask? Perhaps a slight reduction in price… But then you get what you pay for, I suppose.
