I took my BMW320d MSport with fuel contamination and non runner(recovered to garage) after months of waiting i was told the car was ready with a bill of £1500(paid), on testing the car discharged plumes of black smoke and top end of engine knocking, fuel gauges not working and external body damage, i was told to continue driving it for approximately 500 miles and the problem will clear it self. Approx six weeks and 500 miles later i took the car back in worse condition than i first received, over the next four months it was back and forth with problem after problem. Eventually 8 months after first receiving the car the garage decided to send the injectors for testing(these were new replacing the original damaged ones at a cost of £600 for four injectors, by this very garage). On receiving the injectors back from testing they were declared damaged and beyond repair. The garage refused to accept responsibility for their workmanship and handed me the keys(they never decontaminated the whole system). I involved trading standards, one year on and still on going. I refered 2 friends in the early days who were charged in the 100’s of pounds only for their problems to never be solved(one guy has sold his Audi via auction losing £1200 in value).
