I am really particular when it comes to hairdressers. I like to feel comfortable and I like to be able to have a good chat and identify with the hair dresser too. When I moved into the Jewellery Quarter the hunt began for which hair dresser I was going to use. I didn’t have to go very far at all. Hidden away behind the Rectory in St Pauls Square is Jake Samuel Hairdressing. The hairdresser I frequent is Colin who is one of the most pleasant blokes I have met. He always has interesting stories to tell me and from various conversations i have had with him, he has some pretty interesting people coming to see him as well. The décor in Jake Samuel always fascinates me too, its full of vintage items and posters along with a wall full of album art as well. This sort of thing is right up my street and I never get tired of checking it all out. Its unusual that I would think to review a hairdressers but Colin at Jake Samuel is such a top bloke I felt the need to share that on here. As he isn’t open on Mondays I did try another local barber a few weeks back as I urgently needed a hair cut on a Monday, I immediately regretted it and did not like the style of it at all. Some people do say that the best person to know is you hairdresser as they are always well connected and Colin is just that sort of person. Very reasonable for prices too.
