This vet lost my cat after it went in for a routine castration due to the negligence of the nurse .The worst part was the lies they told in trying to cover it up, the lack of sympathy ion that fact my cat was lost — they didnt even say sorry in fact they tried to divert the blame. They have said that my cat basket was broken — it was not, it was new and in fact since the loss several of my cats have been safety carried in this basket. Second they said it was feral — it was not. It was a cat I had taken in and had been looking after since it was a kitten and was very loved. They are very uncompassionate and only have said that at least it wont get female cats pregnant. They have binned my posters of my cat at the edgbaston branch — this is the extent of their compassion
Also the nurse was quite prepared to put a collar a very frightened and stressed out cat after a neutering even though she knew it would stress out the cat even more. When I complained the response was even more shocking — no remorse — in fact the person said they didnt have time for ’ my arguments with staff’ — this was not an argument but an unhappy and concerned customer who had serious concerns with the actions of a member of staff — when I said I would be redrawing my pets from the practice and writing a bad review — the attitude all seemed to change
I would strongly recommended that if you care about your pets do not trust them with your dearest companions — they state they treat your pets as their own — well if this is now they treat customer pets then maybe they should not be pet owners

A huge THANK YOU to Manor Vets who have been absolutely fantastic. We first had to rush our cat Ifrit to their 24 hour service a few months ago and were so kind and understanding when I explained my situation (not only a poor student but a poor disabled student relying on public transport) and let me work out first bus I could get to get Ifrit seen ASAP.
Recently had to return to Manor Vets Edgbaston as it appears Ifrit has cystitis again and they’re currently processing his urine samples today — a rush to make sure no underlying problems! By phone they are incredibly kind and patient, very understanding, and gave me numbers for the Cats Protection and Friends of the Animals for badly needed help with the cost of vets consultation and neutering fee for which I am incredibly grateful for.
Some vets can be quite snobby and look down on lower-​income people, but this recently refurbished state of the art veterinary practice is far from snobby. Treats were provided for the furry patients which helped Ifrit relax in the waiting room, and everyone there was definitely a pet person, creating a calming, warm, welcoming atmosphere.
They’ve also given brilliant advice on foods that help his condition and it is little touches like that make me so grateful we chose Manor Vets.
