Maypole Car Boot

I enjoy going to car boots as you never know what you might find, yes most of the time it is just junk, but sometimes I have found interesting little things for my home and let’s face it the prices are always cheap! This is a great car boot sale and I have been on several occasions. They seem to have the setup quite well organised and there are always lots of refreshment places where you can grab a burger or something and they also have portaloos which I think is a bonus as most car boot sales that I have been to do not have toilets! As with most car boot sales, it is best to get there as early as you can as it can get pretty busy by the mid-​morning and by lunch time, well, all the good things are gone! I have found a few things at this car boot and I think that it is worth a visit!

As these things go it’s pretty standard fare. The stuff available is your usual car booty. Having said that because of the proximity to Moseley and Kings Heath, there are not exactly bargains to be had, but the quality of what’s there is reasonable.
Car boot’s are really places to go to mooch round and maybe pick up the odd thing here or there. If you really want bargains, I would suggest going to a bigger car boot like the one at Bassetts Pole or the one further along the A435 at Studley. They’re much much bigger and have inflatables for the kids. They’re more like mini markets as well as car boots in my view.
There are refreshments available at Maypole and the lovely portaloo’s for toilet necessities, although if it were me I’d rather nip over the road and use the toilets in Sainsbury’s, but that’s just me…
It’s getting very busy now, so if you want to bag the best stuff, I’d get there early. It starts around 7am.
