Nandos

Went to Nando’s today, it’s in a good location just off broad street. Good greeting and was seated fairly promptly considering they are quite busy. I had coleslaw, creamy mash & half chicken. I think portions could be slightly bigger, Particularly the chicken and the creamy mash which is the best part of it. Overall friendly staff and good service.

I love Nando’s. And they are my choice for food whenever I am in Birmingham. The long time of waiting before the food arrive puts me off sometimes but all in all they are up to What you would expect from Nando’s.

Sometimes you are feeling that little bit more cheeky than normal and a Nandos is needed. Today me and a mate make this local restaurant chain our even food option… surprising given that she is a vegetarian!
I mean this is another one of those places where you know what you are going to get and its always decent, however I have had some issues at this particular branch in the past. The one time I came here they had actually ran out of chips! When the main bulk you do is chicken and chips how can you not have half of the options available!
I think it’s the condiment options that keep me coming back to Nandos… I am a spice lover and it’s great to see a chain not afraid to pack something full of chilli! Today I took a venture into the unknown and had some extra hot sauce… I loved it. Definitely worth going that one step braver with the spice content.
Final note and one for the veggies is that my friend really rates the veggie burger here. She will even brave sitting through me eating a half chicken to have one… so it must be good!

This place was the first place I ever had a Nando’s. The service is brisk and the chicken is fab — but that goes for all of the chains, really, not just this place.
It’s definitely lost its sparkle over the last few years (chickens sometimes get smaller, sometimes slightly crispier than they should be) but overall it’s usually a positive experience.

Oh Nandos! I have a love/​hate relationship with this place… When I first get to the UK it’s usually the first place we pop into for a meal… And that first meal usually tastes like heaven…
However after day 2,3,4 and so on when my friends want to eat it again day after day my gag reflex kicks in after the mere mention of Nandos!
Its solid glorified fast food chicken… Don’t get me wrong it’s good but there more to savor in the area so go out and try some other places despite having a nandos on every corner… Oh and the fact that they no longer serve clotted cream with their chocolate cake is a serious crime and offense to me! I might not even be back…

Absolutely Packed!
Me and my friend we having a cinema marathon round the corner at Cineworld and had to refuel.
We really thought we wouldn’t get a seat but were quickly seated. I haven’t been to a Nandos in a while but was nice that the majority of dishes hadn’t change and I did go for my favourite mango and lime chicken pitta with Halloumi and chips. We were told that there would be a 20 – 25 min wait for the food but didn’t mind and it didn’t feel like we waited that long. My food was delicious but I wished I had gone for a second side as well as the chips. The salad was different to how I remembered as there was now coriander included.
I’ve forgotten how much I enjoyed Nandos and I really liked that as soon as we had finished our food and wanted to go I didn’t have to chase a waiter for a bill or spend ages working out how to split it.

After movie my family wanted to eat Nandos. I wasn’t too happy but went along anyway. I have been kinda sick of Nandos and felt it’s gone downhill.
I orderd chicken butterfly with 2 sides (chips and mixed leaf salad). Chicken was overcooked and dry. Very chewy and annoyed me. My sister had coleslaw with her meal and had a try. Coleslaw was dissapointing, it’s similar to the basic supermaket ones. Even asda does better. So many places have homemade slaw with their own twist and such a brand like Nandos you’d expect same.
Little louder and so busy. Drink machine only one for whole restaurant. Gets little bit of line for drinks. We did have lovley server and smiled a lot.

I went tonight and had the chicken pita wrap.
Ambiance: 4 out of 5. For a Nando’s the atmosphere is quite nice! They even dimmer the lights when it was about dinner time. You still have to go to the counter and order your food, but all in all it was good.
Food: The chicken pita wrap was fine. I ordered mine with cheese and pineapple. The cheese was a little weird with the pineapple and chicken. outside of this, the chicken pita wrap was good.
