I like proper bakeries, I know it’s still a chain but it’s still better than a Greggs(nothing wrong with Greggs this is just better in my opinion). It’s decked out a bit like a classic art deco theme, with black and red leather seats, dark woods and a little bit of brass. It presents a very up market feel to this bakery initially, and that is fortified by the delicious and exquisite looking loaves, pastries and baguettes. They also make cakes to order, the only rival I would consider in Grand Central is Café Concerto on that front — however I am not sure of the price comparison. They servce giant, soft, warm salted pretzels which are my vice. I was given the loyalty card on my first visit which you then register online you get a free parisian breakfast — consiting of either crossiant or pain au chocolate and a choice of there coffee selections. This would probably cost £4 to purchase, then like most cards if you present it during your purchase you get points — it’s alot like a costa card. The staff all seem really friendly and appear to really enjoy their jobs there, had a good chat with the manager about the opening times, the same as most establishments in Grand Central — the opening times are wrong. This place is open from 7am making if perfect to grab breakfast as there has never been a queue. I would consider buying a loaf on my way home and hope to pop in for lunch when I can spare the time.
