Terrible terrible terrible! Stay clear of this restaurant as food arrived 2 hrs and 10 minutes late, was cold and dripping in oil that clearly smelt stale! Absolutely disgusted that restaurants like this are supplying food!
Upon complaining to the restaurant we were rudely told that we should have opened the packaging and tasted and checked we liked the food before letting the driver leave!!! What a cheek as the driver handed the food to us and left straight away because we had already paid when placing the order :((It’s clear that the management and staff have no care when it comes to customer satisfaction. Also a complaint was made to environmental health regarding the stale oil smell from every dish!

The food was fresh & well prepared, better than your standard curry house. The drinks really bumped the bill up, I much prefer taking my own.

I’ve been to the PB quite a few times usually in a small party with family. Last night it was busier than usual due to a young lady’s 90^th Birthday party congratulations madam, I hope the vindaloo was up to your expectations.
As mentioned elsewhere they have a three course offer, it is £9.95 on a Saturday which gets cheaper mid week. Not bad value at first glance but when you’ve added drinks & popadoms the bill always seems to be fair a bit higher than expected.
I’ve never had any complaints about the food but the service can be a bit slow. The starters & sundries are particularly good but the main courses, in particular the specials, can be a bit hit & miss. This isn’t the fault of the chef but more of a case of how you or the waiter interprets the dish off the menu. For example my Julienne, although pleasant it wasn’t as described, the waiter actually thought it was a Jalfrezi! This confusion also occurred with some of the other dishes. Unfortunately my wife’s sagwalla was a bit thin tasting and also a little oily.
Whilst PB claim the food is cooked fresh and therefore there is inevitably a wait, I think is due to them being overstretched on the night. The service was slow and we also had to give a few reminders for drinks etc. I suspect the busy take-​away trade was the main culprit.
There are no draught beers, it is mainly bottled Cobra etc but to their credit they could offer me a very pleasant Cornish real ale.
Four stars maybe a bit generous but unless you go for something off the Specials without doing your homework I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

Been here a few times now, the food is lovely with plenty to offer, they have a meal deal on at present, starter, main course and a sundry for just under £9pp.
I gave it 4 stars due to the fact it takes a while to receive your food, but we have been told this is because the chef cooks everything from fresh, if this is true which I think it is due to the great tasting food, I don’t mind waiting that little bit extra.
