I always find this newsagent so convenient. The inside shop itself is a decent size for what it is. I’ve been in a number of times and the shelves are always full of stock.
In my opinion, there is nothing worse than going to badly stocked shop that struggles to even have the basic of chocolate bars or pints of milk!
If you literally need a sugar hit, magazine or a drink then the selection on offer should tickle your fancy. The woman who works there barely cracks a smile but when you’re just buying a kitkat. who cares.
Overall, handy little shop that’s bound to have something you want for sale. Prices are pretty average, if you’re looking for cheap deals you’d be better going to a supermarket.

In my humble opinion, one of the most consistently reliable and excellent local services that the city of Birmingham has to offer is its newsagents, and an excellent example of this is S & Z News on Oak Tree Lane in Selly Oak. Their range of products is exactly what you’d expect from a small newsagents, not selling an awful lot more than magazines (of which they have what I’ve found to be an exceptionally good selection), newspapers, sweets, drinks, and a few basic essentials, such as tea bags. All their prices are extremely fair, more than competing with the nearby Sainsburys, and, despite having been in numerous times and been served by several different people, the staff are always friendly. If you’re looking for any of the above in the area, then I’d heartily recommend S & Z News.
