You might not save much here but it is the one when you need some late night provisions! Open 24 hours it is a good shout when wanting booze or cigarettes or even a midnight snack!
The service is cool and there is much to choose from! I often make a pit stop en route after an evening on the town. A central, all night offy is always a good call. I would recommend to all of you night owls.

Oh whatever!
Across the road from the side entrance of New Street, lies a munchie heaven for after train snacks and avoiding railway station prices. Share bags of crisps for a quid and sometimes 2 litres of pop for £1 or £1.50.
This is great for those getting the train in a group, or if you are like me and want to eat potentially smelly food to keep the rest of the train passengers from sitting next to you.
The front entrance faces the street but you have to exit down a side street and try not to look silly doing so as its a one way customer in the store.
They don’t smile very often and they lose one star for that. Cheer up you are in a busy shop!

This place is a god send as a local resident.
Open ²⁴⁄₇ — Yep, all day, everyday, it’s great when you’re stumbling home from a night out in search of something to nibble on or to keep the party going when you’ve ran out of supplies.
It has a pretty decent selection of wines, spirits and beers, a small selection of fridge food, fresh milk etc and not too shabby amount of cupboard food and confectionery.
If you find that your first choice of shop/supermarket is closed be sure to always give this place a go. It’s not too expensive and sometimes cheaper than the big chains and tends to have some of the lesser known items that you could be looking for.

I hadnt visited this shop for over a year, prices were low and they had lots of customers, even in the mornings. As I was desperate for cigarettes this morning I popped in on the way to work. First thing I noticed I was the only customer, the prices appear to have gone up as I soon noticed on cigarettes. I normally pay £4.76 for 20 Mayfair Superking in other shops, there however £5.59 for 20 one heck of a difference. After making a phone call to Select and Save I was told this was correct, apparantly they can charge whatever they want I didnt know this. Obviously I will not be shopping there again. I believe in fair prices not being ripped off !

This is my local convenience store and off licence. Its well stocked with all your day to day necessities, and its one of only a few reasonable priced 24 hour off licence’s.
