i used to rush off the bus into st martins or the markets for years without stopping at snaxys. then i was introduced to it and found the staff friendlier than other places. its a good place to meet friends, change the world, fill in forms, solve problems. 50p tea is a good deal when other places are more uexpensive and staff are rude. i cannot eat or drink from people who dont serve with love. it doesnt taste right and gives me indigestion. i fell through a red chair once but took no action against them. people automatically sit there when waiting for transport. we go through times when theres a shortage of chairs. from there you can see all the buses coming into and leaving town. vusitos to birningham usually ask for directions. my purchases are coffee if its first drink, usually tea, porridge, rarely food. the people include market cleaners, retired proffessionals, famous people incognito, like the walker on saturday who just wanna be called sir, homeless people or those helping hopmeless people, unemployed, disabled with and with and without carers. the food is ok for the price though i would prefer prefer dumpling and saltfish or a pattie.

You must be tired from all the Rag Market shopping, you are loaded with tonnes of fruit n’ veg from the outdoor market, Wagamamas and Jamie’s Italian are towering over you, laughing at your bargain hunting… we’ll show them, let’s sit down and have a chip butty and cup of tea in a styrofoam cup for less than a glass of water in either of those places. Snaxy’s is a burger van sat at the edge of the outdoor market, burgers, sausage sarnies, tea and coffee you know the deal. It’s greasy spoon food but I hardly think you would be expecting anything else there. It’s super cheap, friendly people serving, wouldn’t you much rather eat here(there are a few tables and chairs) and complete your no frills trip? Look, you have a new suit, 14 bags of fruit and veg that will last for 2 months, an old portable telly and now you’ve also had your lunch and are going home with change from £20!

Situated at the Digbeth end of the Birmingham markets, between the stalls and St Martin’s Church, and ironically, within spitting distance of Jamie’s Italian and Browns restaurant, Snaxy is essentially a small burger van mostly serving the market community selling chips, sausages, the aforementioned burgers, as well as tea and coffee in polystyrene cups. There’s a few tables so if you choose, you can sit down to consume your purchases and watch the colourful world of Birmingham fly by. Not everyone wants and egg and bacon buttie for lunch, but if you do, Snaxy’s is a good place to come as the food is certainly edible, the service is prompt and polite and it’s cheap, cheap as chips(apologies for the pun people, sometimes I just can’t help myself). If you want a healthier, or fancier option then you’d be best off taking a walk up the hill past Jamies as there’s plenty of other options in that direction. But if greasy spoon style food is your thing I’d definitely advise you have a look at this place. I’m pretty sure their cups of tea are the cheapest in Birmingham at fifty pence a cup(if anyone knows of any cheaper then feel free to contact me).
