I have used the old subside back at the old bar and the new one. The old one was good, but when I saw it was back open I was impressed, since the rock scene seems to be dying since we saw the closure of the ballroom and the end of subculture, I was hoping subculture could make a comeback in this venue. I have been to the new one twice, I am very impressed with the venue, the new venue seems to be very open as the old one had small areas on two floors, i’ve never stopped there too late so no idea what its like in the later hours but I assume its busy, as always rock venues have good atmospheres, with random drunk people to talk to, random convosations, dances… I remember years ago we came from eddies and they played Rammstein — Du hast and me and a few friends started doing the macerena randomly and everyone started joining in haha. The bar isn’t cheap but makes it up for the atmosphere, it is also in the perfect area with the o2 institute over the road, and local to public transport. They can defiantly put some events on there with the room, maybe some comedy nights, but then again its a music venue. So well done on bringing it back, I always knew they would bring it back, I am hoping to go there for my birthday in April. The venue has a big dancefloor and a stage and pool tables. Keep it up :)
