The Card Factory

I am actually a really big fan of the Card Factory. Yes, it’s not exciting or sexy — but with as big a family (and friend group) as I have, I go through a lot of greetings cards. I remember back in the day (before I discovered Card Factory) where I had to use stores like Clintons (and pay a small fortune for a piece of cardboard with a nice picture on it). Card Factory still sells those pieces of card with a nice message on it, but for a lot less money.
This particular branch is situated in the Bullring link (straight down from Debenhams). It’s not a huge store, but does have a selection of gifts, cards, balloons and decorations. I tend to use it mainly for cards, but I have also purchased birthday candles, balloons, banners and small gifts for people here.
Basic greetings cards start from around 29p (or sometimes birthday cards are 10 for £1) and go up to a couple of pounds for a more fancy variation. I like the fact that there is a wide choice, meaning I don’t end up having to settle for something schmaltzy when I actually think something funny would be better for that person.
The goods here are pretty great quality, cheap and the store has a wide selection. The staff can sometimes be friendly, sometimes brusque but have always helped me locate things when I’ve needed a hand with something.
I would recommend this store for all of your birthday/​wedding/​fathers day based needs!
