Big variety of sandwiches. We chose tuna and spicy chicken(can’t recall the correct name). Some types of Sandwiches can be reheated. A convenient takeaway sandwich bar in the New Street Station.

The Upper Crust is a takeaway serving sandwiches and drinks which lies on the platform side of the ticket barriers at New Street Station. There are no eat-in facilities and as befits such a place, the baguettes that it serves(which admittedly look quite nice) are very expensive compared to what you might find if you wandered up to the Tesco in the Pallasades. On my way back to Wolverhampton late at night, many’s the time I’ve stopped off here for a cup of tea. Yesterday morning I swung by for the first time in ages and grabbed a ‘Large’ tea which turned out to be comically large but was £2.25 which isn’t that bad considering how big it was. The service is friendly and of the smiling, ‘have a nice day’ type, although a while back I was served very late one night by a young Scottish lad who didn’t seem to know how to make a brew(literally, that’s not my opinion on the quality of the product). If you’re changing trains at New Street and you’ve got the money, it’s a good place to grab a quick drink. If you”re loaded, the baguettes do look delicious.
