Wheatsheaf Harvester

From when we entered to us leaving we were welcomed with smiles from the staff. Very accommodating and assured we were all fed and watered (hello unlimited soft drinks for £2.45! They also do unlimited tea and coffee for £1.99 which would be ideal for my mother who no longer drinks alcohol and isn’t one for fizzy soft drinks). Food was incredible, I had the spit roast chicken and mashed potato. Hands down the best I have eaten in a pub for a long long time. The people I was with agreed about the quality of the food — two had the three chicken (piece of spit roast chicken, a piece of Southern fried chicken and a flame grilled chicken breast) with seasoned chips and my sister had the baby rack of ribs with seasoned chips. No complaints other than it wasn’t unlimited and sadly came to an end when there was nothing left on the plate but crumbs and the carcass of the roast chicken and the bones of the ribs. Ordered dessert afterwards — my God. Plentiful and delicious. Couldn’t fault the service one bit. Would definitely go again!

Terrible harvester. Staff in here make you wait wait and wait. None of the staff seem friendly and the quality of food fairly low.

We came in good spirits as it was a rare gathering with me and all my mates in between our busy lifestyles. All eight of us ordered from the menu, some of us ordering chicken combo deals others mixed girlls and other meals.
We waited patiently for an hour and half and then we went to the staff to ask where our food was. Workers here were miserable and reluctant to converse with us at all, we were polite initially but then our food came out, we received two meals and then the rest was served one by one. One friend had finished her meal before some of us even had food in front of us, if that was me then that would be understandable but in this instance it was a measurement of how slow the service was.
When everyone eventually received their meal some people’s food was a mixture of hot, warm and cold food. Some of it had to go back into the kitchen to be replaced and some things were re-​heated. We spoke to the staff again but they were useless, so we went to the manager to complain meaning we had money taken off and left after three hours of palaver.
