This Shell garage certainly enjoys a prominent position on the ring road around the north of Bolton, and as such it always appears to be quite busy, even at quieter times of the day. This is despite the fact that it doesn’t seem to be the cheapest petrol station in town — not for petrol and certainly not for other things, where you end up paying the usual premium for shopping at a convenience store. It’s quite a small filling station — there aren’t a huge number of facilities to speak of – but all in all it does what it says on the tin.
