I’ve tried many Indian takeaways/restaurants in Bolton & I’m yet to find anywhere better. The Chicken Jalfrezi is a personal favourite and with an abundance of chicken, your never left disappointed. After collecting an order and returning home, we realised an item was missing from the order, rand up and one of the lads was round within 5 minutes dropping it off. Tremendous customer service !! Friday/Saturday nights obviously get very busy and delivery can take upto 2 hours so my advice is to either order early or drive and collect where it’s usually ready within 30 minutes.

I love this indian takeaway and travel past a takeaway nearer to us, to go here. The menu is really unusual and you find lots of dishes that you wouldnt find anywhere else. The service is quick and efficient but they dont deliver, which is a shame on a Saturday night when you are having a couple of cheeky halves!

Spice Island was recommended to me by a work colleague(cheers, Martin) when I first came to Bolton 10 years ago, and since then they’ve done very good business with us. The reason? The food is great(try their Chingri Jhol or their Murg Charga if you like something a little bit hotter than usual), the service efficient(rather than friendly, perhaps) and the prices are very reasonable. I like the fact that you can see the food being prepared when you pick up your meal — it gives you confidence there’s nothing untoward going on. All in all, top nosh — and good value too.

Very nice indian takeaway. has a good selection of food(including some signature dishes that are ridiculously hot!). the food is all freshly prepared and really tasty. Staff here are friendly and the prices are good(slightly dearer than some places though). Its not the best indian takeaway(the bradshaw is the best in my opinion) but its certainly worth a visit to try their signature dishes!
