This was a Unilocal recommendation and I tried to visit once without a reservation. It was full and I had to come back another night. Book ahead, even on a weeknight.
The food was excellent, good gyoza with crispy bases, nigiri, yakisoba and udon. All well presented a tasty. Service was helpful and the restaurant seems popular with the locals.
Recommended for casual and inexpensive meals.

I’m pretty sure that Nippon Inn is my favorite place to go and eat. The staff are friendly, the service is great and the Sushi is always fresh and very flavorsome. Pretty much all of the Sushi available is traditional, in-​keeping with the décor, as apposed to being «Trendy» sushi.
They have Saporro and Asahi on tap, which is nice, and they also server Sake both hot and cold.
In all honesty, it’s a good job this place isn’t walking distance from where I live, or I would spend a fortune in there!
It gets busy, so it is best to book. Give it a try, you won’t regret it!
