We stayed in this hotel for a nice weekend getaway with my boyfriend. We both had an amazing experience. Our room was on the 4th floor and we had a nice view of bournemouth from our window(and limited view of the beach) and it was perfect for the 10pm fireworks we had a good view of those. The hotel has a pool, sauna and jacuzzi and if you go during non-busy hours you can have a nice relaxing spa experience. One thing that threw me off a little bit was the fact that they had cameras pointing at the pool and you can see what people were doing in the pool from the lobby. It felt a little like«big brother» is watching you. We had dinner at the restaurant(we booked a deal that included dinner, high tea and breakfast) and the food was really flavorful and delicious. we both had the fish and they gave us generiou portions of the sides offered with the fish. Breakfast was buffet-style and you definitely get your money’s worth, they had hot and cold foods. The high tea was definitely my favorite, the variety of desserts they offered us were fantastic! We will come back and stay here if we come back to bournemouth.(also free wi-fi is always a plus)

The Queen’s is a slightly odd hotel. The staff were lovely and the downstairs is nice. However my single room was small and a bit pokey. It was also super-heated with no way to control the temperature. It had a nice balcony overlooking the hotel’s small garden but no window which meant that I couldn’t even leave the window open for some air. Food was ok. The Hotel is close to the beach but at the top of the East Cliff. The old Victorian lift to the beach is close by but otherwise it’s a bit of a slog up and down.
