Homophobic door men wouldn’t allow me and my partner into the bar, «it’s too busy» even though there was plenty of seating

Charming wine bar/pub/restaurant in Saltaire. Was in town for a wedding and came here a couple of nights before for dinner. Everyone seemed to enjoy the meal. Had Indian nachos as a starter which was weird. Had some doritos(or something similar) as the chip base which was fun. Topped with peas, lamb, jalapenos and was odd but it all worked. I had a ribeye with possibly the best«chips» of our stay in England. They were fantastic. Others had the duck leg which was good, steak and another family member had the burger which looked just ok. Great little local spot and worth visiting when in town.

Weird bar staff. Truly weird. Almost went out of his way to make me and my friend feel uncomfortable and to look pretty darned incompetent. Beyond that the place is quite nice — well decorated, good drink selection — including some nice red wine options, a good looking food menu, and nice enough clientele… I just really didn’t like the barman. At all.

Great meal there Monday night. Reasonable prices especially on the wine list. Valpolicella Amarone is very good indeed

Went here on 12th February for my sister’s 18th Birthday. Literally couldn’t fault the place. Fab atmosphere, amazing food. The steak is absolutely my favourite, although the chicken pie looked amazing too. Good for lunches or just drinks as well. Couldnt ask for more!

I have deleted my previous 4 star review as it was 2 years ago, it was family group lunch enjoyed by all, particularly the chicken and leek pie. This review would only have appeared as an edit to the previous one had I not deleted it, so best to start again as the most recent review appears at the top of the list. I called alone last night for a drink and a couple of courses. As mentioned by another reviewer its disappointing there is no draught bitter, surely they could carry at least one. However the bottle Saltaire blonde from the nearby brewery was quite enjoyble. I dined in the restaurant upstairs though there is a good choice also in the downstairs bar. I had the soup of the day(Asparagus0, was nice and creamy in texture, and tasty. Bread roll was so hot that when I broke it the steam caught my fingers and I dropped it ! Main was a crispy duck breast(it was tempting to have that chicken and leek pie again) served on mashed potato also with a creamy sweet potato and red/green salad leaves. It came cooked to my preference, and was delicious and tender. Bill was £21. Pleasant attentive service from the young lady who served me, but it seems she hadnt been trained on how to properly use the travelling credit card machine ! Neverthless I recommend this place, on both my visits the food was well executed, and I commend it to other qypers. Its situated near to the famous Salts Mill, so there are other things nearby to justify a day out.

Great wine! A friend and I came to visit Saltaire one lovely summer day and fell in love with the town instantly. The restaurant was the last on the list but best way to end the evening. We had pasta, steak and cheese. No room left for desserts. Server was very pleasant and food was brilliant. The ambiance is perfect for a romantic date or catch up with friends.

Lovely café bar and restaurant in the very cool Saltaire. Relaxed, yet smart atmosphere, great for daytime snacks or evening drinks with a group of friends. They also have a lovely Restaurant upstairs perfect for more intimate, smart dining. The food here is lovely — particularly the tapas style menu. I love the Indian snacks, try the chips and daal or the halloumi cheese. Great value and great portions. Salts Mill is always worth a visit but forget the overprices Salts Diner — Don’t Tell Titus is the place to see and be seen!

Trendy contemporary bar and café. Cool for dates and to bring your friends to catch up on gossip, or to have a relaxing hour. We enjoyed coffee and alcohol on cool leather seats, but there was space to stand or sit at the bar. My fresh ground coffee whipped into a light latte was just as refreshing and invigorating as our friendly Starbucks. At £3.50 for each pakora portion, I initially thought I might be a fool, but when it came I was glad that I did order it. The portion was big enough for both of us. The food display was as pristine as Marks and Spencer, worthy of a prince, with salad and condiments as accompaniments. I would recommend the desserts menu. Chocolate fudge cake with cold cream was delightful. I understand their desserts menu are reviewed and changed regularly. The owners have made this place functional for tourists and artists who would frequent Saltaire for inspiration. Ah. .. to be spoilt for choice!

Expensive here but its a good place to visit. Good place to sit and watch football with friends, without having a rowdy/noisy lot of lads in!

As mentioned in previous review, pretty expensive. However, I really like this bar to sit with friends and have a drink. I haven’t tried the food here so couldn’t comment on it. Really like the atmosphere here on a weekend

Pretty cool bar, seemed ferociously expensive tho. Has sky sports and the food is good but only served at lunchtimes/early evening. Attracts the slightly older, upmarket crowd.
