I am a big fan of ice cream and, consequently, have sampled a fair few flavours and makes in my time. I can honestly say, however, that this is the best ice cream I have ever had. Freshly made on site with milk and cream from the farm’s cows, this ice cream is creamy without being sickly and comes in a huge range of flavours, from the usual vanillas and chocolates to tangerine. My favourite is hokey pokey, which I certainly recommend. It is a bit out of the way but definitely worth a visit. There’s a car park and the café is accessible by wheelchair. The ice cream is available in large tubs to take home, and they also sell a wide range of homemade jams and preserves. They do bits of food too — toasted teacakes and fantastic bacon sandwiches. The staff are really friendly and it’d be a lovely place to go with the family. In terms of the farm, there isn’t a great deal to see — a little walk and a couple of animals, but the café is the star attraction for me!

Tong Lane, Bradford BD40RP 1132852728 This is more than just a farm — this is a b & b too so you can stay here for the night and take it easy or just call in for a couple of hours. The kids loved all the different farm animals and wouldve happily stayed there all day but we became a bit hungry so we needed to get food. There is a small café there with a few outside tables too and they do the normal range of small café foods — sandwiches/buns, etc with a nice selection of home made icecreams which were gorgeous. They do a nice cream tea which was very filling and gorgeous. The place as a bit hard to find so make sure you have directions before setting off. The prices are a bit steep but well worth it for a nice afternoon out or even a stay overnight. The place is nice and tidy with the exception of farm smells obviously. The staff are very friendly and even invited us into their house to look at their new kittens., how trusting is that? A lovely day out.

On Saturday I took my 3 children to a lovely ice cream shop called Goodalls which is situated off Tong Lane, Bradford. It wasn’t only an ice cream café it had a few cows, sheep, donkeys and chickens there. There was also a few outside tables to sit and eat ice cream at. It is not a big place but ideal for something to do and go for an hour or so. Also the ice cream is delicious.
