Are there any Italian people living in the Brentwood area? Any in Essex? why do I ask? because if there are any they certainly are not working as chefs at this restaurant!
Stopped here for dinner on a business trip with my colleagues and a customer. First reaction when we walked in, not too bad. Went down hill from there.
We had to hail the waitress to order a bottle of incredibly terrible white wine, which we did not know until she opened it and poured it in all of our glasses. So we switched to Red, which was another POS bottle! Of course that was after we had to send the hounds out to find our waitress again!
So we had a starter, antipasti plate, very pedestrian. But here is where it gets good, in a bad way! I ordered the Spaghetti Bolognese and out came spaghetti, in about a half hour. I mean it looked like a Bolognese, but tasted like tomato sauce. So I put on the salt and pepper to make it taste like something, anything, and about half way through my meal the waitress came over to see if i wanted Parmesan cheese. Sure, about 10 minutes ago!
So we order another bottle of wine, and found one that was drinkable. We ordered dessert, ice cream for me as I was sure at least that would be good, and it was.
So, everyone is done, we are waiting for the check, waiting for the check, waiting for the check… and my colleagues decide they have waited long enough and head next door the the pub for a nightcap, with my blessing. I finally flag down the busboy to get the check, 15 minutes after my friends had left. Really?
So the wine was bad, food bad, service bad! It makes me want to heat up a can of spaghetti O’s when i get back to the states so I can eat something that tastes equally as bad as this food!

Just like any other Prezzo, the food is consistent, but nothing great. Wine list is ok. Its all very average and chainy.

This is part of the restaurant chain so you know what to expect and you won’t be disappointed with this one, nice food and friendly staff, ideal for a fairly cheap night out.

Mediocre food, mediocre wine. Nice place to visit every now and then, but it’s nothing amazing.
