Anderson’s Home Bakery

Anderson’s Bakery is the reason why I am no longer a size 8! This little family bakery is far superior to the Aulds which is on the same street. The staff who work in Anderson’s are actual bakers who make all the delights they have on offer in the bakery that morning rather than the mass produced, heated up rubbish they often sell in Aulds. I am not a big savory pastry fan but the sausage rolls are so yummy and when I lived in the area I loved popping in for one to munch on while I waited on the bus into university. You have to be really quick though because after around 1/1:30 in the afternoon most of the goodies will be gone!
I have to give a special mention to Anderson’s utterly divine chocolate cake with chocolate cream filling and chocolate icing. If I had to choose between a night in bed with Brad Pitt circa Meet Joe Black and one of these cakes it would be the cake every time. Sorry Brad! Even though I am now in my 20s my mum still orders me one of these cakes for my birthday every year. How good are mums?
