Worth the drive for the tasty Sunday lunch at a great price. Good selection of starters on offer see blackboard for specials. Delicious selection of meats(or multiple veggie options) served with potatoes, peas, carrots, cauliflower and cabbage. Certain meat options also come with yorkshire puddings. Nice array of real ales, proper ciders and juicy wines to choose from and served by pleasant and friendly staff. Dining area is to the rear of the pub and is bright although can get cramped when busy. Good selection of desserts on offer including; fudge cake, ice-creams, crumble, tarts and various other tempting treats. Reason I didn’t award higher was; no yorkshire pudding guaranteed(only seemed to be with certain meats) and no roasties(same again, with meat choice). Plus dining area can get crowded when busy. Overall though, lovely food and there’s a great walking route behind the pub for a post food wander,(also a children’s park) Price for a main Sunday dinner and dessert £7.50(–Great price!)
