I used to really like this shop. It’s a nice, clean, stylish store. But the last few times I’ve been in there, I have been really disappointed. After a couple of disappointments I changed barbers. Yesterday under pressure, I went back in because my new guy wasn’t free and I got exactly what I didn’t want. I tried to explain what I wanted to the guy but he just can’t seem to listen. Has an attitude if you query what he means when he’s describing what he’s about to do. Like I should just understand barber terms. He even made fun of my last cut and commented how bad it was — despite that being what I wanted and what I think suits me — I just hadn’t been for a cut in a month so of course it will look a bit wrong. I just made up some story to get through a very embarrassing situation. I should have known better. That was definitely my last visit.

No appointment, friendly stuff. The hair were not washed so the only thing to do after the hair cut is to go back home and have a shower. £15 for men The haircut itself is quite good — just as I explained(unlike in many other places in Brighton where the barber knows only one style)

Yeah, finally a place that knows how to cut hair. I am particular about my hair, and usually go to the same Spanish barbers in the States. These guys did it up nice though, took their time, gave advice, and a great style. They are open later than most as well, and are right on the path to the train station. Worth a stop if you’re looking for something funky. :)

On the edge of the Brighton city centre, Adapt is probably best described as modern, urban and trendy hairdressers. I myself am not particularly trendy or urban, but none the less I got a very good hair cut here. If you’re looking for more than a ‘short back and sides’, then this is definitely the place; their stylists are extremely handy with a set of clippers and can create some impressive styles. A scrap book of previous customers demonstrates the versatility and range of options on offer. If you’re more traditional, the stylists are able to explain to you what things go best for which people. While you’re waiting there are plenty of magazines to read, and games to play on the Playstation. That really is a minor detail though; the main plus point is that staff are friendly and give a very good hair cut.

On Queens Road is this popular and busy barbers. The waits are never too long and if entertainment is required then there is a Playstation 2 to get involved with and pass the time. The manager Lianne is the classic friendly, chatty, bubbly barber and is never short of conversation. And fellow worker, Polish Kuba is as nice as they come and even offers discounted deals to fellow Polish natives on Thursday. There is also a facebook group that provides similar offers and deals to the masses. If you’re in the mood for something a little risqué then Lianne has range of shaved patterns that she is famed for.
