Asda

Previous Qypers, it appears, are not very happy with this branch of the major chain. I can only say that I have never had a problem with this store/​branch. Well situated in a Marina village and you have access to so many other stores on the waterfront. There is car park charge, but if one parks in the Cineworld multi-​storey, which is permissable, then it costs nothing. It does mean you have a bit of a walk but no trouble if you have/​buy a shopping trolley.
The store is well laid out, bright, cheery and staff to match. Cheaper petrol on exit, or hang around and peruse the clothes, restaurants, shoe shops, jewellery and anything else you need. You can even pick a cheap cruiser for £258,000, or two for £500.000.not bad really!!! I’ll have the two!!! hahaha.(Give one to Roger.)

Cheaper petrol great! Worth driving to the Marina for a full tank. I was on the M40 yesterday and the price difference between the BP garage and ASDA was 11p per litre!

Huge branch of the supermarket giant, offering a massive range of food, homeware, electronics, and all other lovelies you’d expect to find in Asda. There’s a whole floor of George clothes (which catered for half of my family at Christmas).
Open 24 hours, but unfortunately my days of going food shopping at 2am while at university are well and truly over so I now go on the weekend like normal people, which makes it busy, hectic and quite stressful.
You have to pay for the carpark, which was an alien concept for me since moving from Hastings, but as long as you spend over a fiver you can get your money back. Providing you take the refund part of the ticket to the till and not the parking part, like I once did.

What can I say about ASDA apart from the fact that I never want to go there again! I hate the whole ASDA ethos of buying cheap, unhealthy food. I mean I went there the other day and they had cases of cheap beer and yet they neglect to assume any responsibility for the new binge drinking culture in Brighton. On a side note the staff are drones and rude as well. I avoid this store at all costs.

You could probably spend all day in here (if you were so inclined). Huge branch of this chain selling food, music, household items and an upper floor dedicated to their ‘George’ clothing range. Always busy and never seem to be enough staff serving on the tills. Has a large car park that used to be a free for all — but now you need to spend a minimum amount in the store to avoid parking fees. Not so good if you go in and they don’t have what you want. ! Don’t go in this shop if you are already having a stressful day as it can only raise your blood pressure !
