As there were many interesting prints in their display window, I decided to walk in and have a look around. I recently purchased a few movie posters, and those purchases depleted what little funds I had remaining in my bank account. Once I get some more funds, however, I will definitely have them framed. And when I do get them framed, I will go here as the prices are decent, and the staff members are polite and helpful people who take great care in what they do. They also sell quality prints. There’s an interesting collection here, and it’s well worth it to have a look.

I usually get any limited edition prints or canvases I buy framed by Tim at Fairtrade Gallery round the corner. If he decided to emigrate or retire however, I’d definitely consider going to the Brighton Framing Gallery. A compact space in Kemptown Village, the gallery always has intreguing work in the window and sells limited edition prints and and greeting cards by local artists as well as a series of made to order frames. They have plain wooden frames, box frames and more kitsch /decorative frames with borders. Their prices seem reasonable and they seem to have a genuine interest in art — which is always an added bonus. In short, it gets the thumbs up from me.

Only go to Brighton Framing Gallery if you enjoy having your art work and framing choices scoffed at. Also expect to be charged extra ‘just because’. Snooty and poor selection of frames and mounts.
