Cloud 9

Stopped in and had a delicious Bounty flavored (coconut and chocolate) milkshake! It was exactly what I was looking for and only £3.50. The bakery items all looked delicious, especially the rainbow cake and the cheesecake brownies, but the milkshake was enough sugar for me for the day. I will definitely return and try the cakes sometime!

It is my favourite cupcakes boutique in Brighton. Located on Kensington gardens, Cloud 9 offers a large range of cakes, they all are delicious and melt in your mouth. No visit to Brighton is complete without having a cupcake from their shop.
My favourite is the classic vanilla cupcake.

I was walking around with family as they tried to find a pub when we came across Cloud 9 which stood out with its pink painted wall.
The cupcakes and cakes are nicely presented on the counter and each one looks more tempting than the other. There’s a range from chocolate to gluten free cupcakes. I had a sample of the Chocolate cake and it was heavenly … I was on Cloud 9 (Ha-​ha!)
I had their Mint Chocolate Ice Cream and a black coffee. Don’t judge me… I was tired and it was hot.
We were sat at the pub next door and wanted to take the cups with us expecting a NO but the lady was really nice and said we could as long as we brought it back which we did.
The sitting area is quite small with only two good sized table which were packed with people anyway. People who saw the shop walked in and seemed to like it.
A new spot in Brighton? Heck Ya!

I used to work for a magazine back in ²⁰¹¹⁄₂₀₁₂. I was part of the advertising and marketing team and had to call new and old businesses to be featured in the magazine.
This place was quite a new café. I remember speaking to the lady on the phone and she was SO SO nice! So I thought, I’ll have to check the place out especially if the owners nice and cheerful!
MY GOD. CUPCAKES! That is it… THEY ARE AMAZING. Heaven, pure heaven, lots to choose from, very well presented. The quality is great, it’s soft and moist and the frosting is perfect not too sweet and sickly. It’s not too expensive either, and I do remember them doing deals and student discount. The cakes just taste like they’ve been made with LOVE and CARE! Even though they are made in batches, they seem as if they are one offs!
They do birthday cakes too, my housemate got a Amaretto cake for his girlfriend’s birthday. It was literally the best cake i’ve ever tried in my life! Again, the price for it was reasonable! They also serve ice-​cream, hot drinks and other snacks. The ice-​cream is REALY good, they also have good quality cones, which is always important! You can also choose an ice cream flavour and create a customer milkshake!
They also have a little space inside for you to eat and the décor is really bright, cute and colourful. So it’s a nice place if you do have time to sit and there is space. The downfall is that it is really quite small, there are not many seats!
Finally… I’m pretty sure they offer parties. Where they teach you how to cook in their kitchens I’d love to do that! Anyone up for it???

Love the place! Such a neat and amazing desert place! They have waffles, sundaes and a large variety of ice creams! Prices are reasonable too! Defo a gem hidden!

the staff is superfriendly, their ice cream is great and their cupcakes are the best in town! i love this shop, always pop in for a quick one when i’m in for a little treat. try the rainbow cake! :)

Beautiful cakes, had the chocolate orange, it’s certainly very chocolatey! Probably the hot chocolate with it was a chocolate overload but great drink anyway. Very
nice service, pleasant welcoming staff, definately worth a visit, the cup cakes are terrific!

I got the banana (& white chocolate?) cupcake, and it was heavenly! Not as good as that of the angel food bakery, but good enough to satisfy my cravings. They gave my cupcake in a cute little takeout container too, which is a plus (cute things are always a plus. teehee). The texture of the cupcake was soft and moist, just the way i like them. The frosting was too sweet, but I’m not a frosting person. If you love frosting, come with me next time i go on a cupcake adventure and i’ll give you all my frosting. hah.
I think it was about 1.40 pounds for one. Correct me if i’m wrong. Go on and try it! If my wallet allows, i’m going to come back here once more before I return to my natural habitat aka the states.
Oh, and this place is adorable! come here for dessert for your first date. (or take me! that’s fine by me ;)) hehehe.

I heard about this place from a friend and it was suppose to be a really good place. On the website there were soo many different flavors I wanted to try. But… when my friends and I finally found this place and looked at their ice cream flavors we were kind of disappointed that there weren’t that many interesting choices…
Although I would honestly give it a three star– I have decided to up it to a four just because my first time wasn’t that great doesn’t mean it isn’t a great place! I guess my expectations were just too high for the time being. The worker there was really nice and I would go back and try something else if I had the time.
The ice cream we got wasn’t super thick but the cone was in good condition. I like my ice cream with a lot of substance it that makes sense? If it melts faster than usual then there’s something fishy about it, aka NOT REAL ICE CREAM TO ME! Just kidding that’s kind of mean, but they did have a lot of interesting cakes that I wanted to try.
