It has been 12 years since I quit playing the piano. It was one of those cases where I was forced in to doing it, and then quit to show I was a rebel. I remember when I told my piano teacher the news. I looked him dead in the eye and said, «This is my last lesson.» And then he said, «Good, you never practiced anyway.» What a jerk. It’s been a long time since I last sat by the piano, and I must say that I want to take it up again. I was too young to realize that playing the piano is good for the soul. There’s something soothing about hearing a melody played on the piano. And although I doubt my ability to be an expert at the instrument, I still want to learn. When I was on one of my town walks, and saw David Ingledew Pianos, I took it as a sign that I was meant to take it up again. Although, that quickly changed when I found out the price of their cheapest piano. £2,750? I only have £5.60. David Ingledew Pianos only sell top quality pianos from the leading brands, and they are extremely knowledgeable(this is an understatement) with every item in the store. The owner of the shop let me play a Bluthner Grand Piano(retailing for £14,000), and the feel from the keys was extraordinary. It made the C-scale I played sound like a Mozard concerto.
