I was provided a great service, starting with an initial consultation giving me good advice and recommendations with the end goal of producing a matched frame to something made years ago from a different supplier.
Production of the frame was swift and the finish absolutely fantastic. Pricing was spot on for the service and quality of final product.

If you haven’t got the time or inclination to go all the way to Steyning and visit The Gilded Frame Company’s workshop, The Frame Factory in the North Laines seems quite popular with locals. I’ve only popped in a couple of times to get quotes but was pretty impressed by the range of styles and colours they had displayed on the wall. Alongside elaborate gold and silver frames, they have a mix of plain black, white, silver and wooden ones. All the frames are made on site and you have a choice of different glass and mounts. Handily, they also offer giclee printing and photographic prints blown up and mounted onto canvas.

This is a great little framers. They have a really good eye and nice finishings. Framing prints is pretty essential, all too often artwork is crammed into a ready made with no mount and the print gets wrecked from condensation. Its a bit more pricey this way, but your artwork should be worth it, if it’s not don’t be the thing on the wall. Try and choose one like this where the examples on show look stylish, rather than those gold gilted places where the palates are totally out of touch.

This is a great framing store right in the Laines. One of the shops I have worked for in the Laines regularly uses Frame Factory to frame bits and pieces on sale in the store and the results are always flawless. They have a great selection of mats, frames and different framing options so you can go for something classic or more contemporary. They did a great job on a piece that needed to be framed so that it looked like it was suspended in the frame (with clear glass on either side instead of a matt). They are always really helpful and friendly if you have any problems or would like something tinkered with.
