I am not at all familiar with Tandoori, but my latest experimentation with food all proved to be delightful experiences, so I decided to venture forth on another experiment and try something I wouldn’t normally attempt to try. I’m quite glad I did.
Being unfamiliar with the menu, I asked what someone new should order. The man behind the counter suggested I try the Tandoori King Prawn. Since I was in no position to say «No», I decided to go with that. It was quite good and the pricing was decent. We spoke briefly about the Olympics (I haven’t been keeping up with it), and he gave me a good rundown of what was happening, including something about a British speed skater being disqualified. So I got a good meal and a good sports recap.

This meal was gorgeous — we went for chicken tikka tandoori, a basmati rice, and a mild king prawn curry. They chucked in an extra plain boiled rice which we didn’t order, and charged us for it too which was a bit annoying! Other qualms — the chicken was stingier than usual, with only about 8 small pieces, and the upgrade from ‘prawn’ to dearer ‘prawn’ curry was kinda undermined by the chopping up of the prawns into little pieces. Ah well, still seriously tasty with fresh ingredients — my favourite Brighton Indian takeaway so far…
