Prism is a more worthwhile stop off point than many of the dozens of Jewellery stores that some how stay open down in the laines. There’s all sorts to be had in here, with traditionally ornamental objects(such as candle holders) sitting alongside more practical but attractive objects, and the occasional piece of visual splendour. Its a gorgeous shop to look around, with bright lights dancing across the many offerings, and you’ll get paranoid about knocking things over(at least, that was my reaction) and you may just find something that takes your fancy too!

Prism offers elegant dishware, vases and candle holders in several styles of glasswork. Mosaic patterns were quite prevalent, and Klimt designs appeared on sets of dishes, wine glasses and votive holders. Other unique items included bottle stoppers(only £6), paperweights, letter openers and candle snuffers. The shopkeeper was very friendly, and eager to help some other customers in the shop pick up a gift. Glassware isn’t really my thing, but I enjoyed looking around and would recommend it if you’re in the market for a combination dish set /conversation starter.
