Everytime I have had to use this place I have gone about midday which I would strongly, strongly, STRONGLY advise you not to go at this time as the cue is mahussive! If you can get in there before 10 oclock in the morning you will probably be alright.
The royal mail has to be loved if you are patriotic as it’s world famous so thumbs up. Apparently, Royal Mail drivers have a siren on their vans so they can skip traffic like ambulances but this could just be a rumour.

To be honest this magical warehouse place is pretty damn useful, and although it ain’t the prettiest it sure comes in handy.
I’ve managed to look right past the ugliness of it and enjoy trips here as through association I have slowly come to learn that this building means fun/​exciting/​important packages all for me!
Check when they’re open though as they have weird hours and it’s really annoying coming here to pick up your much awaited package and they’re shut!

You’ll probably only have had need to visit this Royal Mail delivery/​sorting office for collecting parcels with your ‘Sorry, you were out…’ card, as this place offers no postal service otherwise. I’ve had to head here a few times unfortunately, and I find it a bit annoying that I cannot pick up from my local Post Office unless I pay extra — especially when I’ve waited in all morning for a parcel only to find that irritating ‘Sorry…’ card waiting on the mat later — grrr, at least ring!!! Aaanyway, rants aside, the last guy who served me here was really friendly, despite long queues of angsty people in the xmas run up.

This place is tiny, and seems to service most of the city, so you really don’t want to find yourself here on a busy time, like Saturday morning, or any evening around 6 unless you want to line up for an hour. But, the staff are super friendly and helpful and never seem to mind having to spend half an hour looking for a parcel you think might be in the depot.
