This is the stereotypical ‘builders’ café, actual builders probably come here, and they actually love it. The food is unsuprisingly not amazing, but then I’m pretty sure Raymond Blanc couldn’t too much more with this classic style of food. The fundamental point though is that this place is reliable and impressively cheap; you can get yourself an all day breakfast for the brilliant price of £2.95. This definitely falls under the banner of «cheap and cheerful», can’t really fault it.

A nice little diner in the Open Market that has lined its walls with gorgeous photos of old times Brighton for you to gaze at while your food is prepared. Though small, the outdoor seating makes it a fine greasy spoon for you to visit in the summer months. While the all day breakfast for £2.95 sounded tempting, I needed to keep on the move and asked for a ham sandwich. I was a little surprised it was £2.25, when the Breakfast was so cheap, but all was forgiven when I got a collection of fresh crunchy chips to bolster my sandwich with. I have to admit, my preferred London Road diner would be Snak Attack. But Sam’s is by no means a bad place to go, its just one for fans of the greasy spoon rather than the homely café or trendy eatery.
