The stags head should be put on the guillotine in my opinion as there is a better pub literally two houses up the street.
It always feels a little bit dark and depressing in the sports bar which is a bit run down as well. However, free pool every Wednesday from 6pm and a pool competition every week if you love pool you will be pleased. The drink prices are better then the one up the road if this is what you would make your choice on.
The locals are laid back and you are not made to feel like an out of towner as with many local boozers like this. Mile Oak is a nice area to visit and there are many much nicer pubs than this in my opinion.
