Syd’s Bikes 2

Syd’s Bikes 2 came into being in 2000 following the twelve year success of Sydney Street Bikes in the Lanes. Essentially it’s what you would expect, a smaller but equally well stocked and knowledgeable version of Sydney Street Bikes. Think of it as a Sydney Street Express, a real godsend for the people out in the Portland Road area whose bikes are too broken to get into the North Laine to get mended.
The shop has the feel of a tiny independent with as many major brands as they can stuff into a small place in the window and no counter to be seen. To sum up, Syd’s Bikes 2 is a good balance between a personal feeling independent and a range of stock and knowledge you might expect in a bigger London store.
