Indian restaurants are so popular in Britain, Indian food might as well go down with Sunday Roasts as classic Britishness. I came here a few weeks ago for a special treat, deciding that after much revision and hard work, I’d enjoy my most guilty of pleasures; a passanda, bhahi and a peshwari naan. Having eaten at a number of Indian restaurants and take aways, I thought this was by no means the worst, even if there have been better. One big plus point to be mentioned is that Tandoori Bites is between 10 and 20% cheaper then most you’ll find in Brighton.

Tandoori bites can only be described as an average but consistent curry house. If you live in the vicinity you should definitely check it out however if you live further afield I don’t see why you’d go here instead of your usual. All the dishes are perfectly cooked and the sauces are always just as creamy or hot as you want them to be. You won’t spend over £12 and as such it’s great value. Expect good quality food and decent service. Don’t expect anything special though, as it’s only just above average.

As far as Indian restaurants in Brighton go it’s a rare occasion that you’re blown away. This place is no exception to the rule. Like many others it does exactly what you need it to and no more. The meat dishes are tender and creamy, the rice is well cooked and the medium dishes have enough kick to them without being overly spicy. Everything is extremely reasonable in price as you aren’t likely to spend over £12 pp. If you live near by it’s well worth it but there’s no reason for it to take precedence over your usual.

Fantastic Food, great value for money and ran by the nicest fellas you could care to meet. I dont think it has been open long, but it deserves to become a stalwart in Hove. Right by the Neptune, so after a couple of pints you can then tuck into the lovely Chicken Rogan
